This was a very old but nice hotel. My family had 2 rooms and we all had a great time. We all loved the giant bathrooms with huge tubs. While we were there, the a/c went out, and it was very uncomfortable for a night, but the breeze was great. They had a repairman scheduled before we even notified them. Also, we met a friendly ghost. It was nothing scary. Our autistic daughter had her tablet with her. While the rest of the family was away, I saw something operating the tablet and watching kids' shows. I moved the tablet, and every time I stopped the video and walked away, it would start playing again! I was glad it didn't happen around the kids, but it was a unique experience. I don't know the history there, but something likes to watch kids shows 🥰

The old world charm. Astonished by age and how well it seems to be kept up! Just loved it.

The lobster bisque was good and really hit the spot after a long drive & busy day. The bartender/concierge we met was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is located in a charming small town near everything we wanted to see and do in Lancaster / Chester counties. We felt as if we went back in time and experienced life in the 1800's. The beds were comfortable and the room was much larger than expected, which we both liked very much ! We also enjoyed the artwork on display and the garden located at the back of the Hotel.

It was clean and comfortable with plenty of natural light. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to meet all of my needs. The on-site restaurant was convenient. There was entertainment (comedy performances) in the pub which would have been great but we had other plans and could not attend. Finally even though it was in the center of town there was plenty of free parking and no street noise after midnight.

We liked that it was centrally located for us. The room was large and comfortable . There was a free continental breakfast and it was walkable to a store, a few restaurants (including the one inside). It is a very old Inn, so you just need to be aware of that going into it. It was quiet, and we were able to check in even after the lobby was closed.

I liked that it felt more like an "inn" than a hotel chain. The room layout helped it stay quiet (no neighbors on every side). There was a good restaurant downstairs that made it easy to order in. Fair pet fee.

Was looking for a change from Expo Center lodging and was pleasantly surprised by a refreshing stay "a world away", approx 10 minutes off the PA Tpke. Room bigger than expected, comfortable bed, convenient on-site restaurant and pub with varied menu, self-serve breakfast room.

The hotel had a restaurant on site and the food was very good and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the room; the bed was firm and provided some much-needed rest.

Quaint, cozy, and quiet. Big room, comfy bed, great pillows, and plenty of towels, toiletries, etc. Friendly staff. Every room is different. Our room had lamps (4). No ceiling lights, except for the bathroom. Felt dim, but the weather was foul, too, which didn't help. Would definitely stay again. Also, the free breakfast is a good variety: bagels, muffins, HB eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, and assorted bevs. You don't have to go far for food either, The Long Way Home is attached, the staff was great, and the food was delish! Bonus info - stay on the 2nd floor. That's where the coffee, vending, and ice machines are.
